Will i get the stomach flu if i kissed someone that got it two days after?
On saturday, I was at a party with some of my friends and i am like best friends with this boy. We call each other husband and wife and they dared us to kiss. So we did multiple times. Then on monday later in the day he got the stomach flu and now im scared im gonna get it. Do you think i will?
Is this a normal sign of the flu?
As alot of people may know the flu has been going around. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that I was a lil stuffed up because it didnt feel like I was swallowing quite right. But I did not feel sick nor anything other than that. Two days ago, however, my throat was on fire, I had a horrible cough, my nose was runny and my ears slightly hurt, I had a mild fever and diszziness and I slept ALL day long. I feel a lot better. My throat still slightly hurts and I still have a constant cough but the rest is gone I believe. Is is normal for a flu to come and go that quick. In the very back of my throat I realized that it is not smooth it looks slightly discolored whitish & red and patchy. Could this be from the irritation i caused by coughing constantly?
Stomach flu (Gastroenteritis) signs good or bad?
I have Gastroenteritis or some say stomach flu. When I first had it I thew up once. Now I am using the toilet like every 5 10 minutes. My brother said that he had it once and he told me not to drink or eat anything at all. Thats how he got rid of his stomach flu fast. I was wondering if by drinking lots of water and gatorade will help or doing his way. Is having diarrhea a good sign? Because I thought that the diarrhea tries to watch out the bacteria and toxins. Also is it a good idea to drink a lot of juice and gatorade at once?
What happens if you smoke pot while you have the flu?
Last night i was throwing up for about 8 hours strait. I finally passed out and woke up this morning really dizzy and i still felt nausious. Although my stomache is still uneasy, i have not been throwing up, and i have been able to eat a bagel and some saltines today. I was just wondering if smoking pot would help with my nausea or if it would just make things worse. please let me know what you think. thank you
What type of virus is the avian flu (bacteriophage, etc)?
pretty self explanatory, doing a project for school and i need to know the kingdom class phylum etc, but avian flu is a virus, so it doesn't have one. So my teacher told me to find out if it was a lytic infection, bacteriophage etc.
Why dont i get the flu?
My finace was sick 3 times las year with the flu. I am in direct contact with him. I took care of him when he was sick and we even kissed and stuff. So why didnt i get the flu? He was down with viral fever last year and the doctor said it was in the air and very contagious. Every one around him got it? So why didnt i get it????When i was a kid i was always the first to catch all this stuff. SO what happened now???This has happened 3 times till now??? And by the way it's " fiance" . What kind of flu or sickness is this?
I have a stuffy nose, headache,cough,watery eyes. but the problem is my stuffed nose is one the right side and my eye waters on the right side and my head hurts....on the right side. I don't know the diffrence between migrain or head pressure.anyways my whol right side stating from my nose that is stuffed and up all hurt.it just hurts and i want it to stop. Any idea on what this is?
How do I get over the flu - FAST?
I've been sick for four days now since Sunday and I need to be better by Friday. I have a slight fever, loss of appetite, coughing, sneezing, body aches, light headedness, and shortness of breath. I need to be better by Friday because a friend of the family is getting married Saturday afternoon and she asked me to help out at the reception. Is there anything I can do to get better within the next 48 hours?Thanks in advance.
Should i get my 7 month old baby vacinated against swine flu?
Ok lets face it, the whole swine flu pandemic thing was blown way out of proportion and sent most of us into a panic. Yet things have calmed down now, to a point where i don't even see those swine flu Ads on TV anymore, i haven't read of a case in the paper for months, yet Dr's are still adamant vulnerable groups of people should be vaccinated. I'm not to worried about the Jab itself as i had it and 5 months on i am fine, but the Jab did make me feel awful for 24 hrs which i was warned is a side effect, for that reason it has kind of made me think do i want to put my baby through that, i'm an adult so i understood that the aching muscles and tiredness were a side effect and would pass, my baby wouldn't understand. He is due to start nursery in April i'm faced with the situation of " Do i,Don't i" ?. I'd like to hear from any mothers who have recently had there baby's vaccinated, or anyones thoughts on the subject. Thanks
I'm sick, but I don't know if I have mono or the flu or a bad head cold?
I have a sore throat, it feels like my tonsils are swollen. I have a runny and stuffy nose, also I get very bad migranes when laying down for a while. My voice gets croggy at night and when i wake up. Also I'm starting to get real tired, whats wrong with me?
Getting over Flu- Coughing up Blood (Red and Black)?
I'm just now getting over the flu, now, a few days ago, I did have a nose bleed. But now I'm kinda over the flu and just have the lingering cold coughing every breath. I've noticed that when I spit it out, there's always some red blood in the spit, and or some wierd black looking stuff. I can't tell if it's blood or what. Is this normal?
