Question about swine flu deaths...?
according to the health officials, almost all of the people who have died from the swine flu minus one 31 year old who they're still doing an autopsy on are said to have underlying health problems. however, in the case of the 33 year old teacher who was the first US born victim, her husband said she was a healthy, normal pregnant woman... and in the case of the NY assistant principal, their family said he only had gout. Now a 13 year old died and surprise surprise, he had a chronic health problem prior to the flu.So who is telling the truth? do you think all of these people had underlying health conditions and the families are angry at how slow the responses have been and are trying to incite fear to get them to move faster to avoid panic the principal's family have blamed his death on the slow reaction to close the schools or do you think they're making up the underlying health issues as a way to NOT incite panic?oh, and he was a stabbing victim. Overweight, stab victim and sleep apnea doesn't sound like a " healthy boy" .all I know is... one 21 year old in Utah recently died. family members say he was severely overweight which you could tell and had sleep apnea and another ailiment...now that they're mad at the hospital because they released him too early... now they're saying he was a healthy boy. No body that big is healthy. I'm sorry but obesity is a health problem in itselfso i'm starting to think this is angry family members trying to incite fear to get things done faster.

"Europe swine flu deaths doubling every two weeks"?
It has been announced by the ECDC that swine flu deaths in Europe are " doubling every two weeks" . now if you work that out, if it stays at this rate then by the end of 2009 there will be 2704 deaths throughout Europe. As deaths go up and vaccine gets distributed more widely do you think swine flu will have " the perfect chance" as some experts have said it will, to mutate into a more serious disease in early 2010? If this happens at what rate may the deaths increase? could we see them triple every 2 weeks or maybe quadruple?

Why are their no swine flu deaths in england yet?
To my understanding around 150 people have died in mexico, many have been infected in america and only 1 person has died outside of Mexico. 6 people have been infected in england and 2 in scotland and not one of these 8 people have died. Could their be a chance that our climate is not right for the flu to beable kill us. Could their be a chance that the virus has spead so far that it has weakened and is only mild in england? Or has the flu just been caught early in these people.

What is happening with these swine flu deaths?
We are all being treated for H1N1 at our house. I just wonder if we are at lower risk of death due to the fact we are taking antivirals and feel only mildly affected by the virus. They never mention any detail about the ones that are dying of it, such as...were they really far gone into the illness, were they on antivirals, did they just drop suddenly or were they really really sick and having complications. Just merely having it makes me nervous though I feel better than I have with other colds and flu. Any ideas?

Can the swine flu death in the U.S.?
Really be considered a death in the U.S. because I just heard on the news that the toddler who died in Texas was from Mexico but brought to Texas for treatment and that's where he died.Okay I heard on hnl that the child was brought to Houston from Mexico for treatment where the child died now if the child was living in Mexico how are they going to consider that a U.S. child dying.

The swine flu death toll has jumped about 31% in the last past 12 hours. Am I the only one worried??.?

I'm starting to think that this could be just the beginning.Somebody, check my math.103 to 149. percent increase.I hope I'm wrong Screw Twit ter. I got the data from that yahoo storyI meant jumped 31 % from this morning. Not the actual percent of people dead. I was wrong, it's 44.7 %.
